Free SSL checker

Inspect the certificate.
Understand the connection.

Use the free SSL checker to inspect a public HTTPS certificate, its issuer, validity dates, hostname match, and certificate chain. No sign-up or payment required.

Checks public HTTPS on port 443 through SSLtest. Your hostname and connection information go to that provider, which processes scan reports and may return a report cached for up to 24 hours. Reply Runway does not store the search.

Understand the certificate.

Check the issuer, validity dates, hostname match, certificate chain, and negotiated TLS connection. An SSL result is not an audit of the whole website.

Read the result with context.

Enter the hostname

Use the public website hostname, without a URL path or port. Checks use HTTPS on port 443.

Let the provider finish

Cached reports can return quickly. A new scan can take several minutes; you can stop waiting without changing the website.

Review the evidence

Check certificate dates, hostname match, chain, and endpoint differences. A provider grade is not a guarantee that the whole site is secure.

Is the SSL checker free?

Yes. No Reply Runway account or payment is required. The external provider applies rate limits and can be unavailable.

Is this checking my email server?

No. This tool checks website HTTPS on port 443. It does not test SMTP, IMAP, email signing, or inbox placement.

Does it change my certificate?

No. It requests a public scan. It does not install, renew, or modify certificates.
